Sex therapy

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.” - Mahatma Gandhi

How is your sex life? Are you and your partner satisfied? Are there differences in your desire for sex?

There is research stating that a healthy, satisfying sex life can lead to better overall health and well being as well as deeper connection between partners.

Communication around sex issues can be a taboo topic for many people. There are many reasons why. Cultural, religious, past traumas, family of origin messaging, can create blocks to exploring sex issues. In my work I help couples begin to have open and honest conversations in a safe confidential space.

In my ATSIP, ( Assessing and Treating Sex issues in Psychotherapy) training, I have learned how to guide couples and individuals through these issues. Understanding and identifying challenges from psychological (what we picked up from our upbringing) to physiological ( pain with sex), as well as how our bodies change as we age, or after life altering experiences such as child birth or surgeries, can open up the possibility for more gratifying sexual connections. There are many solutions available to aid with maintaining a healthy relationship with sex. Together we will plot a course of action to build a healthier, happier intimate life.
